The 2019 Nissan Rogue is one of America’s most popular SUVs for good reason. The Rogue’s plentiful safety features, ample space and comfortable seating make it a game changer.

A Rogue Among Rivals

SUVs are everywhere these days, with Americans gobbling up the vehicles nearly as quickly as manufacturers can produce them. With so many choices available to consumers, standing out from the crowd takes extra effort. The 2019 Nissan Rogue makes itself known thanks to going the extra mile for comfort, cargo space and safety features. If you’re looking to join the SUV-driving masses or simply upgrade to a new one, go for a vehicle that goes the extra mile for you: the 2019 Nissan Rogue.

Safety Comes Standard

One of the most trend-breaking aspects of the 2019 Nissan Rogue is just how many safety features and technologies come by default. Unlike many competing SUVs that skimp on standard safety, making you pay a premium for protection, the Rogue gives you a ton of tech free of charge.

In their recent roundup of their favorite features of the 2019 Nissan Rogue, Cars.com was a big fan of the many standard safety features. Aids like automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning help ensure you stop in time to avoid obstacles or drift too far from your path. Blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a rear-view camera and forward collision warning with pedestrian detection all combine to give you a much better picture of what is around you so you avoid accidents in the first place.

Cars.com loved all of these features, and noted that extra help can be added on, such as rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control as well as a 360-degree surround-view camera.

So Much Room for Activities

The biggest reason drivers tend to go for SUVs is increase carrying capacity for all their needs, from cargo to kids. Cars.com said that the 2019 Nissan Rogue is an ideal choice in this regard, as it has some of the category’s best stats. The Rogue handily beats competing SUVs such as the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. The Rogue offers 39.3 cubic feet of cargo capacity in the back with all seats upright, edging out the 39.2 offered by the CR-V and 37.6 of the RAV4. For extra space, the 40/20/40-split rear seating can fold flat, giving the Rogue 70 cubic feet of space versus the 69.8 of the RAV4.

Finding Relaxation Up Front

Speaking of seating, the 2019 Nissan Rogue features fantastic front seat comfort. Cars.com reviewer Fred Meier called the seats “broad and well-cushioned” in his larger review of the vehicle. The Zero Gravity front seats were inspired by astronauts and designed by Nissan’s engineers to reduce fatigue as much as possible. For customized comfort, a four-way front-passenger seat is available. You can even upgrade to Memory front seats that automatically adjust to saved settings of up to two drivers, adjusting position for precision-tailored luxury behind the wheel.

Sitting in the Back is Easy

While a pleasant experience in the front is great, all too many SUVs take shortcuts that rob rear passengers of comfort. Thankfully, the 2019 Nissan Rogue provides all passengers with pleasure. Cars.com noted that the second-row seats can slide forward and backwards and even recline, making it much easier for adults to enjoy riding in the rear.

Taller passengers will truly appreciate the Rogue’s upright shape and large glass area. The design means even people pushing past 6 feet tall can rest at ease and enjoy the view.

As a 6-foot-2 man, Cars.com reviewer Fred Meier had no issues sitting in the back. He noted in his larger review that he never felt the pain of his head hitting the roof or knees digging into the front seats that often plagues other SUVs.

Convenient Child-Friendly Features

For those looking to buy a new SUV with a child on the way or already in their arms, child seat installation is an important factor. The 2019 Nissan Rogue makes bringing your baby along simple and easy with several Latch anchors in convenient locations.

Cars.com news editor Jennifer Geiger did a larger review of the Rogue’s child-friendly features. In her review, Geiger awarded the 2019 Nissan Rogue top marks in three categories. Those three As were accompanied by two slightly-lower-but-still-great B marks.
